I do not think I ever watched the 80s cartoon or the NA cartoon.
I recommend you watch them.
The 80s cartoon is simply nonsense, in like its insanity and you can swear it is a soft core gay porno pretending to be plot.
Basically everything is solved by he-man lightly grappling with whoever the monster is this episode or he-man throwing a rock at something or he-man stepping out of the way and letting the monster fall to his doom over a bridge.
Also the 80s show basically is combined nonsense that has magic and advanced technology and teleporters and skeletor flying in what can only be named a UFO all the time.

Yep totally not star trek !
The NA is really great mostly because skeletor is a manipulator who smut talks his way into manipulating the mutants. Also has this anime feel to the animation since was animated by japs.
However this are the cartoons the toyline is a different idea.
