I'd say the TR/LG version handles it in a pretty fun and efficient way. I particularly love how the exhaust vents on the back of the car end up as kneepads. I suppose there's the complaint about "forced partsforming" but I legitimately love the idea of Hot Rod as a headmaster. I think the gimmick suits him; if any Transformer would want to be a small dude so he can hang around with humans in his kickass ride, it would be Hot Rod.
