If you look at the rancor's feet, you can see that they're flat regardless of teh surface they're on, because Hasbro put thought into their toy.
Whereas the troll has its feet at a weird ankle because the ball joint acts like a swivel that only spins.

And finally i proved it yet again, by making a quasi-3d image, because i took multiple photos of that "scene" and picked the best one. No one else would have the other photos, because i took them.
