>>6590288The subject of discussion is too niche and autistic for shitposters to bother or even know about. While some /v/irgins might be really good at videogames or programming, it attracts a very wide audience (and by wide i mean underage, shitposters, /pol/fags and genuine newfags that never lurked).
I wouldn't say /lg/ is super talented as a whole or anything, but the postquality and atmosphere on the whole is super fucking good because the only people that post here genuinely follow these threads, genuinely care about Lego, stay on-topic for the most part and has a generally kindspirited, helpful and positive attitude that support and encourage eachothers creativity.
Not trying to be an edgy post-ironic 100% of the time really goes a long way also.
Saw a whole bunch of page 1 screencaps of /v/ in 2011 a while ago and it was absolutely tragic to see how much that board went into the gutter. People were complaining about the small percentage of /v/culture threads at the time, but compared to now people had lazerlike focus and restraint.
This might sound mushy and we have our own autism from time to time, but this place truly is an oasis here.
