Like i said, i own dozens of Toy Biz figures and none of them ever got floppy, because they are very good quality. If the quality wasn't good, half of them or more would be floppy. You might find three or four people who got a floppy joint because shit /can/ happen, but as a whole, it's solid.
And the reason you don't see articulated fingers anymore is because it's too expensive. Budgets were decreased back during the last recession, but plenty of companies have tried to add them to give value.
Back when Jazwares got the Fortnite license, they gave their 1:12 line articulated fingers because it was the primary toyline for the toy company. So it had a bigger budget than their other toys.
