One of the main reasons I bought the previous MP Thundercracker was because despite all his flaws, he still looked good and had a great color scheme. A lot of the nu-MPs have been somewhat muted or desaturated because I think they're trying to match the colors to the cel paint as it looks on screen. Smokescreen got a similar downgrade with his "+" repaint.
