Went out on a "hunt" for the first time in a while. Found almost nothing at Target, but they DID have Skyquake there for like 35 bucks so I had to grab him. Was curious about this guy for the longest time, but didn't want to pay a few bucks above retail on Amazon because I was unsure of him. Kind of hated how fiddly he was until I learned how to properly transform his cockpit in robot mode and now he's solid as fuck. Thing was letting his backpack droop from where it was clearly intended, but I saw some videos on YouTube basically showing me how to fold it together correctly without having to make any cuts or trims. I could have gotten Dreadwing a while ago, but I like this guy's color scheme a lot more.
Then I moseyed on over to Gamestop to see what they had since they are literally the only up-to-date shop in my area and lo and behold, they had Hot Shot. I was hesitant to get him since I already have MP Rhinox and that 3P Dinobot II coming. Got him and took him home and was unimpressed for a little bit but I'm really coming around on this one. At first I felt like they could have skipped him since we already have Armada Hot Shot and his repaint (which I also enjoyed especially bc of the minicon), and given that budget to a full Vector Prime mold, but whatever. I think it's actually odd they made him a Deluxe seeing as how he is about the size of some modern Voyagers, so for that I'm at least happy. I actually like him a lot now. I fell asleep on the couch the other night and when I woke up, the light hit the colors a certain way and they really pop. He looks great next to Starscream and Metroplex which are 2 of my favorite Legacy figures already. I feel like I am obliged to get Override now, but her price has seemed to creep back up from $11 when I saw her a few months ago on Amazon.
I really need to dial back the collecting because I have about 500 Deluxe "good guys" with some higher sizes mixed in and very few "bad guys"
