>>8066417Well start by taking a look at what it's up against.
We can probably safely assume the Queen, Futurama, Husscar, Home Alone, and Toronto train sets are out of the running fairly quickly.
Seinfeld and Zelda stand some kind of chance by past precedent (2 Ideas sitcom sets and Lego Mario sets, though we just had The Office declined on the last review period).
From there, we've got Ratatouille which has a chance solely by distinction of it being Disney. That said, I can't imagine Ratatouille Lego is something that is as iconic or sellable as WALL-E had been.
The winter chalet has a chance based on previous Ideas buildings like the old fishing store, and modular buildings are always going to be popular.
Then lastly we've got the two real oddballs, the typewriter and the aquarium. Both have some potential as weird choices (like the ball maze, pop-up book, etc), but the typewriter is a harder sell than the clockwork aquarium. I could see the aquarium passing, but I could also see either relegated to a "gift with purchase" status like the kid's rocket set from last year.
This is all conjecture in the end though. I'm not going to say I have any level of authority or knowledge of things, because Lego could find any one of these to be more profitable and possible to produce than a Bionicle tribute set. Best thing to do is sit tight and wait until this summer, expect nothing, and just hope for the best.
