>>8452520I don't have much experience with toy fan communities. I almost always hear bad things about Hot Wheels (which many posts on here seem to be ack-up). When I was into Lego, theere were some cool people there. I hated the AFOL term though because it comes off as very insecure even though people wore it like a badge of pride. Star Wars is pretty bad based on my experience due to marking up things to insane prices, and overall felt like a holier-than-thou feeling with collecting certain series. Marvel fans seem pretty cool but a bit more immature at nature sometimes (ex. see Shartimus). Funko POP (specifically POP) kind of irritates me because people just go after the chase figures regardless of them caring about the figure itself. Also keeping the POPs in the boxes, and some being very obsessed with the package getting damaged/dented.
In terms of cool communities, the people that buy gashapon are pretty cool and seem fun. People that collect cheaper and smaller toy lines almost always seem chill based on my expeirience. I think its because they appreciate small details, size, and creativity required. Playmobil and Imaginext people are cool too.
