No matter what you say, the fact is that Toy Biz and McFarlane are why the collector industry exists today. They set forth what we should expect from our toys, as they were the first to set up how modern toys we enjoy today.
McFarlane and Toy Biz are the pioneers, who everyone else followed.
Mafex, Figuarts, PlayArts, Bandai, Hasbro, Revoltech (yep), Mezco, NECA, Good Smile, etc etc etc. Would any of these companies been able to produce something like pic without McFarlane or Toy Biz? Maybe, but the fact is that Toy Biz did it first and everyone else took after them.
