Hi, I'm the anon that bitched because one of the first releases in Australia was missing its peg that allowed him to be held, I was pissed as I really wanted my bruticus to be armed, and while the rest of the figure was intact his purpose couldn't be fulfilled.

Months later, driving around on weekend for up to 5 hours looking in vain (which got me a complete set of the combaticons only to feel regret knowing the UW would better sit my taste, what I do with my CW is another story) which lead to the most autistic plan I could come up with, since I work in retail I became aware of the inevitable restock when a line is cleared from the shelves, and stalked the same shop 7 days a week.

Do you know how pissed I was when 2 weeks after my incomplete shockwave that the next carton had the previous wave?

Months later, looking at the lone CW groove sitting on the shelf (and getting an addiction to hawtwheels cars in the process, now I'm autistic about the treasure hunt cars now) I saw another restock, pretty damn recent one as there was 2 of everything including shockwave, after picking the one with the best paint job (went with the one with the fucked up eye over the one with the unpainted abs) I inspected the pegs, my bruticus is now armed and I'm too tired to post a pic but we know what it looks like.

TLDR I got a *COMPLETE* cw shockwave after months and somehow avoided scalpers and online shopping options.

Fun note:I work in a super market and despite the stark difference between it and the store I was stalking people kept asking me where shit was, thinking I worked there, or was it the fact I was there every night letting my autism roam wildly I wonder?

Just glad its finally over, now to await the next cw wave, which will be awhile here since stores have caught up and now clogged with deluxe combaticons (but no voyagers)

To any other Australian anons, kmart weribee plaza is 24 hours, 2 of everything but one shockwave

Long story short should I pay $25aud INSTEAD of the usual $19aud NOT INCLUDING postage or should I keep staking out local stores?

I got fucked over, the week I found out Australia got them in local retail I snagged one with a missing peg so he couldn't be used as a gun and ended up returning it, most stores seem to be restocking older waves and several carton loads so chances of a restock are slim, especially the initial store I bought him from which has a single solitary groove sitting there for the last 2 weeks.

I could buy him with other stuff that's at a lower cost (like a jiaxus for $15) but right now he's all I really want.

On that note when should I sell my hasbro combaticons seeing how takara's has my interest?

I say this as an owner of hasbro starscream (have to force the chest apart to transform into robot which I didn't have to do on older hasbro seekers), all hasbro seekers (I sadly like shithead ronald mc donald), hasbro prowl and hasbro bluestreak (prowl has a slightly off center autobot symbol but he was fine, took me opening 15 total bluestreaks until I found one that didn't look like a 2yr painted it AND could hold its car form without undue stress).

But in short hasbro versions better homage the toys (where possible) and show shows of lower qc, I will buy hasbro ones IF I missed out on the takara and based on price, but unlike the takara I will be cautious and buy them in person rather than be comfortable with opening a package from japan and expecting greatness.

My second hand smokescreen with a chipped bumper did amazing out of the box compared to the many bluestreaks I had, thank fuck the tru I visit are patient enough (though it seems waiting on me gets them out of work so it may be of mutual benefit)

Considered buying me a t2 endo skull in gold but only stopped because it was literally statueshit, the space for that thing now belongs to my 3 combiner gestalts.

I don't want an mp with shittier paint apps than a hasbro figure as it'd only make me feel like I "got what I deserved" so to speak, and I've been burnt on deliberate ko purchases before on other products.

I did go through an entire inventory of hasbro mp bluestreak's and ended up with a refund because of how shit the QC was and its not like the badge was crooked either, looked like someone went at them with a large kids brush.

but tldr MUH BRAND LOYALTY AND QC STIGMA

My starscream has a bit of green on him which I assume is from being stuffed too close to acidstorm in a toy box, but now that I dug him out (months ago to be honest) I do like his deco, I could clean him up later I guess...

I gunned down hasbro dirge and thrust months ago because I actually liked their deco in all honesty, I got them from mandarake and I can honestly live with miss matched coneheads because I like ramjet that much, having him stand out works.

I got mp starscream on hand so having a mini one in a similar deco is kinda meh, the current one works and a ghost one beside would prevent me from chasing up any other ghost starscreams.

And yeah I'm not touching ebay for loose/scalped bots, hell yahoo auctions has the henkei releases for $300 equivilant+ in some cases which is insanity yet mandarake its 9000yen, still much but I'm scanning for 6000-yen and lower.

I have money, and I have learnt to live with mis-matched decos, all because of these guys, well apart from hasbro skywarp which I'm not gonna bother looking for, ick.

That said my mp's will all be hasbro...if only because its cheaper than the takara seekers, damn that spiffy cape.
