The absolute best AvP materiel I've personally enjoyed is the AVP2 game made by Monolith in 2001. It has 3 great single-player campaigns that are all interwoven into an over-arching narrative, and the species-based multiplayer was alot of fun too. If you don't mind the dated graphics I strongly suggest torrenting the game and at least giving the campaigns a playthrough. It actually has a very good story.
