Is this something you can not live with out or is this just so you can say you could buy it?
Is this something you plan to play with and/or display for a long time or is this a new dust magnet to just be forgotten?
It's hard believe me, took over a year to stop my knee jerk urges to buy the newest hot shit just because but when you do, everything just seems better, you enjoy the toys you have more, you enjoy the money saved, you enjoy the fact that you can see past that cloud of toy/item wants that clouded your mind and find new ventures to be had.
The biggest trick is to find a replacement for the urge to buy. For me it was taking park walks or doing photo OPs of toys when urges hit, it help curve off the itch and after a few big sellers came and went I finally saw I could live without them and be happier for it. It's not to abolish the hobby, but to gain control and balance over it.
