>>6313776Other companies' idea of achieving high articulation are to break them up into many parts as possible(pic related) and/or slide out the joints to look disconnected. From costume designs you could get away with it a little but the simple comic book suits it looks pretty bad. Compare the Kinnikuman figures for example. Yamaguchi is reayl great at, despite what people think, achieving great fluid articulation with minimal visual impact of the joints.
I can understand the dislike of the general sculpt, but it is a common problem for pretty much any action figure lines (maybe except figma, but they usually suck at articulation). He gets targeted more just from the wide range of IP Kaiyodo and UC makes him work on that don't see the light of day from other companies. Not to mention most people don't even know the names of other sculptors.
