>>5712108 is right, I still find mine useful for stripping. I tend to use 70/30 Simple Green to tap water. I run for eight minutes, let it sit for an hour and check it. In this case, I had to let it sit for another hour, then run the cleaner for eight minutes. Right is the paint, left is the pieces (with primer attached, Mr. Surfacer is hardcore).
Basically it's function is just a container though, you could get the same results from any sort of container and time.
