>>10250784Yeah, I carefully cut it down the middle to ensure I didn't fuck up the electronics cable inside. It's very thin, so you have a lot of room. I didn't take a progress pic of mine, but here's one someone else took. He left a bit of hose at each end, which is the much easier route. I pried the entire existing cable off and it was a huge pain in the ass, so I probably won't do it that way next time.
Yes, I removed that terrible sleeve for now, but I'll be removing that "cable" entirely once I open up the pack. I'll be converting this pack to an OG style, and I have a second pack which will stay an Afterlife. On the Afterlife I'm completely replacing that rubber cable with something more authentic. I just need to find spiral wrap which goes in the correct direction and I should have everything I'll need.
