>>10022969Classics is sort of a "once you get them in hand you know" thing. The sculpting and detailing are great. The articulation is decent for the designs (adding double joints is not going to increase their range of motion, and other changes is going to affect the sculpt of the figure). But Classics also really felt like a real modern take on all the old toys- plus it expanded to include so many things the vintage toyline didn't do. Now, for a modern collector, they are too expensive to really justify collecting. I only paid over $100 once for any figure in my collection (the original Shadow Weaver).
Classics are more like the Origins toys. Once you get one or two, you generally end up liking them to collect some more- oh yeah, gotta get all the Horde, oh shit Snake Men, etc. But yeah, I do think it's more of a you had to be there thing, however, that did last 10 years.
