>>9775113>It's just hard to see because the dull grey plastic tends to obscure all the texture and dings and dents and scratches.LOL, you really are dumb.
Gray tones is actually one of the best ways to SEE detail, because black and white obscures the fuck out of details because of how LIGHT works. Same holds true with colors that are dark or light. That medium grey is probably the best to show contrast.
If you've ever painted models, you'd know how true this is.
Also love how hypocritical you are, since you don't seem to own the figure you claimed i didn't, and are still mistaking the texture of the washes for actual sculpted detail. So many smooth surfaces on a simplistic skeletal body that are made interesting by the washes.
The only real interesting details on the Necrons are the cracks and pits on their smooth bodies. Whereas the Marines have thickass plates, ribbed undersuit, panel lines, skulls, pouches, and other sculpted detail to make it interesting. So sculpt wise, the detail is roughly the same on the marines as the necrons.... which would be made all the better if the marines had a wash, to weather the suits.
BTW, did you know there's a grainy texutre on the marines as well? Just making sure.
