Okay I'll bite. Specifically I did mine based on two criteria, it had to be released this year and I had to buy it this year. So Siege Prime and Megs went into last years.
In no particular order, the current figs in the running for top figures of the year for my collection are
>Siege Soundwave. Fantastic bot mode, awesome detail.
>MP BW Megatron. What a beautifully painted figure.
>Multiverse Shazam. Took Mattel long enough to get as good as Hasbro's 6inch figures. Very expressive.
>SS Bumblebee Movie Prime. Great engineering, awesome detail. Best movie Prime there is.
>Siege Shockwave. Definitive version of the character by far with fun accessories to use on himself or others.
>LC Lord Zedd. As someone with little knowledge of PR but is trying to get into it, the articulation in particular wins me over here.
>Black Series Grievous. So glad he has articulated splitable arms.
>Siege Starscream. After the piece of crap PotP Starscream this is very welcome for a Voyager screamer.
>Black Series Battle Droid. Despite having a lanky frame he has great articulation.
>Multiverse Signature Joker. Could be better but again Mattel finally is catching up to Hasbro. Could do without the gaping hole in his back for the stand when he already comes with pegs for the stand though. Probably will be the first one cut off from the final 10 for the year.
