Over the 5 years Karan's said over & over that it's coming. Nothing has happened. After a long while of nothing coming and non-stop questions from fans about it and their money, she eventually admitted that the money has all gone on paying legal stuff that apparently appeared. She denies that it's her fault when it is, and has spouted lots of other things that make no sense and really don't add up at all. But it's ok. The movie is still coming.
Years later - still nothing. She shat out a little awful comicbook as a teaser 3 years ago with a bunch of variant covers to try to raise more money (even the backers had to buy it for additional money) and that's it. The movie never actually went into production.
All of the actors that were meant to be in it have distanced themselves from the project and just say to ask Karan because they don't know anything about it. Anyone that asks her either gets ignored or still gets the "it's coming" reply.
She still blames it on other people but of course now also blames covid, even though her last word on a target to actually film it was a year before covid happened.
TL;DR - Karan raised $143k+ from fans to make a shitty PR fanfilm, shat it all away, tried to hide it, tried to blame it on other things, and has been pretending that it's still fine for 5 years so she doesn't have to return the money.
