And tangentially related, was looking through a box this morning for my Front Mission figures. Didn't find 'em, but I did find all my old 0080 gunpla! These were my very first experience with anything Gundam as a kid (I bought Alex and the Kampfer first, then later bought the GM Command and Zaku Kai). Even knowing nothing about the series, the suit designs still struck me as totally awesome. I didn't actually watch a Gundam show until Wing aired on Cartoon Network though, haha.
Cannot wait til the 0080 RDs arrive!
