I remember one year at Comic Con there was a Cartoon Network panel about upcoming shows, and fucking Genndy was introduced like 5 minutes before the panel ended. He didn't even have a space on the table with Peter Chung and some other creators. So he was given a seat all by himself with no table in front of him.
I knew then that his series was already dead, a full fucking year before the series even aired. This wasn't even a last minute addition to the panel either, as he was billed at the top its listing and the trailer they showed had shit almost 4 episodes in.
Megas XLR had promise for merch. They made various stuff for it, so i ws able to receive promo shit like DVDs from the series. It's likely the licensors weren't able find any retailer support.
