I backed the crowdfunding campaign but MAN was that thing a total disaster. They didn't even have a name for the individual products or even the product line until literally two weeks ago, and zero marketing aside from displays at small events. Lack of a name meant that it was hard to even find the stupid crowdfunding page (I had to look at photos I'd taken at an event and type in the URL myself). They ended with 155 patrons for over 5,000,000 yen which is clearly odd because that averages at over 30,000 per person even though nobody even backed their tiers above 15,000 so they clearly poured in some of their own funding.
I've seen the prototypes myself and that convinced me to back them but holy shit was this entire campaign mismanaged.
They also didn't have any tiers with sets of the two regular versions, just the limited ones which includes the way-too-brown ponytail girl which probably put off a lot of people (I backed the set but am still ordering a regular ponytail girl because that is WAY too brown).
