I was low-key rooting for that guy's team, I had no idea who he was "in the Lego Community" before I watched his season. they kinda seemed like goofy cool bros, going overboard with gratitude everytime they did well (but... that was a little annoying)
and then in the finale they whip out the story about how the team met on a cruise ship to the Roman Colosseum, and they later went on all kinds of lavish world trips together. and I was like "this rich brat!" and his cloak was broken.
their model with the giant jet was nowhere near good enough to win that competition. but... the other two teams TANKED hard and somehow produced worse models. I think one was a giant plain tree and the other was an over-sized Xmas house. boring.
it does make me giggle how Lego butchered their winning build when they made it into a set. you could imagine them thinking they put Africans and Romans and I forgot the third place on their plane, themed-minifigs. Lego did not even do them the honor of making yellow-faced (not fleshie) versions of the two guys in the build!
