They basically started building sets and dinos without a finished script. And they basically throwing concepts from reject scripts, unused scenes from previous movies and some OC stuff
That's why it doesn't really make sense in the great scheme of things. Also shortest Jurassic Park movie, almost no introduction to Spinosaurus, he's just a serial killer at this point.
A lot of deleted scenes also, like the fight with the T-rex was actually longer, the river scene also had some cool shots of the spino emerging from the water and so on.
Everyone who worked on this movie admitted they didn't had a credible idea to continue the story after TLW
And somehow, people prefer this movie over Jurassic World.
