At this point decide what's best for you, just robot or just gun mode, then glue it back on in the one position (use a stronger glue and lots of it), you really should have taken a pic of the damage in question because you may not have been the first to do it, hell I had an image of someone snapping off the barrel of one but it seems to be long gone
Don't worry though anon, you got him cheap, keep him in one mode and grab another (bootleg, second hand, another, or even the chrome one coming) and keep the other in alt mode, least that way paint chipping won't be a big problem
