>>5694617Because the actual building was originally two firehouses conjoined and at some point they sold off half the land and cut it in half. So if you visit the firehouse in LA now you will notice the brickwork changes coloration on the side where it was cut off. Would post pictures of the two but here is one showing the coloration change.
