>>11414702um.... what?
is there a character you like?
is there a theme you are interested in?
most "collectibles" exist to remind you of things you like. so if you like pirates, get pirate stuff. remember that scene from Star Wars? etc.
however, Lego gives you the ability to create your own thing, even if it's not the thing, you can imagine it is. kids made X-wings out of Lego long before Lego did "official" sets.
so pick something you like, or "close enough" to make whatever you want it to be.
even if it's just a random mess, it's YOUR random mess.
and if all else fails, the autistic clicking of the bricks is... something... to fiddle with while watching TV or a movie or whatever.
you can get a polybag with plenty of bricks to mess around with for only $5. so go buy a $5 Wendy's Biggie Bag for lunch, instead of the $12 Whopper Combo, and you practically get it for free! (even save a couple of bucks!) and all you had was a slightly-lighter lunch out of the deal
