I own some of these for example and they are pretty well articulated and feel solid as fuck. The only downside is that the sculpts look a little soft due to the acetone vapor treatment (to remove the "stacked line" look). It's really not bad in person though, and in hand they feel like real action figures. And hell, this guy is printing at home with a relatively inexpensive printer, so if he had one that could print finer detail he could probably cut out the acetone process altogether.
Basically what I'm saying is that fully articulated and solid-feeling 3D printed toys are already here. We just have a little further to go in the price and aesthetics departments.
