I did play around with creating resin molds but the trouble is that resin bends. It's unnoticeable to the naked eye but the parts of the mold never fit together perfectly which causes major issues especially when your mold halves don't combine as a flat surface.
I also played around with creating filament molds and the results are vastly superior to resin. Pic related, I made it using a series of filament molds in which I poured silicone colored with basic acrylic paint. Each color was a different mold. It even has a tongue.
