His Instagram showed him desk top playing with some of the parts and finished pieces, some prototypes too. There was something very boutique about the line that slowly faded away with time until he seemingly just did character designs and left the manufacturing to Toys Alliance. A decade ago there was a noticeable handmade quality about them and the paint was much more subtle yet very detailed. Even the packaging was better. They used to come in these kinda paper craft cardboard boxes with a shaped foam insert. How they throw it in a bag and cram that into a plastic crate with a sleeve. Point is, they’ve always been expensive it’s just that now there’s much less of a good reason for that to be the case.
