Schneider M1917 by ACE.
Not a fun kit. The mold halves had a univeral offset of at least 1mm and no hole and notch fit into each other. Because trying to fix that would have meant losing like 50% of the overall mass I just didn't.
Gladly the camouflage paint scheme managed to hide most of it.
Also practiced some more weathering; first time using commercial pigments and I must admit, I was impressed. This is a clay pigment that, when dried, looks exactly like my boots after marching through a wet mud field.
The mud on the shield doesn't look good, I still need to work on my technique here.
But if I couldn't have fun building the kit at least I tried to make it versatile, so I kept the cannon separate and the cradle movable.
That way I can do either limbered or unlimbered.
What I think came out pretty well is the breech handle; piece of shit plastic snapped off so I replaced it with a piece of wire and CA glue.
