Trying to enter a cross point such as "muh plate mail" is irrelevant and you know it. There are plenty of examples of mechanical design incorporating midevil astetics into mecha musume, the important part is the MECHA part.
Also, though Arcanadea is currently lacking in the fiction department, its apparently unarmored fag sized android girls going into a vr battle. I could be wrong, but I seem to recall that in the battle forms they become full sized, but I can't remember.
Sorry if I come off as being aggressive, I don't see much point in arguing about such a simple concept as what counts as girls in mecha armor...
