>>5211642>For the past 2 years the quality of the LE dolls has gone down, but the price has gone up.Thats what everyone waiting in line these past two weeks have been talking about. How the eyelashes used to be longer, the dresses and hair used to have so much detail and care put into them. People are starting to notice. My best guess as to why Disney is doing this could be one of two things.
A) They worked really hard at first to establish their Limited Edition dolls brand and now that it's not a little secret that only a few fans know about they can just sit back reduce their costs by cutting back on quality and release slightly fancy looking versions of their normal classic dolls.
B) They're not telling us but the LE doll train is winding down now that they've released all the classic fairy tails on Blu-ray. After all I think the only reason this line was started was to celebrate each film when it came out on blu-ray. With the exception of Aladdin and that new Princess film that's coming out in a few years Disney is done/ tapped out of princes characters to release as LE dolls. So maybe they are just milking the last few drops out of this whole LE doll line before they close shop.
If they ever do release Snow White, Little Mermaid or sleeping Beauty on Blu-ray again do you really think they are going to create new 17inch LE dolls?
It's also kinda obvious that something odd is going on with how they released so many dolls this year as if they were trying to get their moneys worth out of a sinking ship before it sank. They even released a LE Minnie Mouse doll and Re-released the LE woody and Buzz dolls.
