Finished up on the companion mech for Achillea. By fingers bleed. Bunch of small bits that make little tiny joints that are stupidly tight, and can't be loosened at risk of the combine mode failing. The robot itself is ass, lots of compound joints that all do the same thing for no real reason, counterintuitive armor placement that collides with the few usable joints it does have, and that's really about it.
As for the combine mode, it can be quite nice actually. Since Nexate is so modulator you can move some parts around to improve it significantly with parts that are included on the runners, not the spare parts on Achillea's runners mind you but the robots clear runners. As pic related shows the combine form is pretty big, and with the way I modified the structure of the front horse shoulders. One big detractor is that Achillea's thighs are plainly visible from the front, I wouldn't care if she was actually fully sitting in the hores body legs and all, but you do need to remove her feet in order to combine the two, this ism made especially pronounced do to her odd peanut thighs making the gap even more noticeable. The general gappiness og the kit doesn't bother me too mutch, it's very bionicle like, but I can certainly see how that would be a massive turn off to someone else.
All in all, not terrible. Iris is still the best fiore kit, and can be a better centaur withfaction, but if you like Achillea's design and can get around the front ass... go for it I guess.
