>>8122312I'm on my first kit in about a decade at the moment and it's a bit of an embarrassment, I've screwed something up at almost every turn. Doesn't bother me too much though, I think the best way to learn is to just have a go at it and figure out how to do it better next time. It's the kind of learning you can't get from just watching a few Plasmo videos. And it's still pretty fun even if the results aren't up to initial expectations.
So my advice is buy some cheap older kit and learn from your disappointments. It's not like some anon is going to come round to your house and beat you up for your poor modelling skills, otherwise I'd be in a wheelchair by now. And don't trash it, you can compare it to your later efforts and see how you're progressing.
