Look at the Flame Toys figure. Definitely not screen accurate to any source material, proportion or even design wise, yet his proportions look great and heroic.
Maybe to a lesser degree, but I think that good looking proportions is what the toy designers should aim at rather than proportion accuracy to some "holly" material.
