I talked about my Freedom Train project last time I was around. I'm trying to install new wheelsets to these old-as-fuck cars, and these plastic adapter things won't take to any of the Testors glues I have on hand.
Once I get them installed to the car body, I'm going to need to fill them with some kind of body filler compound that can be drilled and tapped later. If I need to reinforce it I can stick a nut or two into the filler. Any suggestions on a reliable filler that won't contract too much?
When this thing is done I need these adapters to be able to deal with the forces of the train car moving and such, so I'm just praying I can cook up a solution that is resilient enough.
