The Malebolgia killed her in Spawn #100 and she stayed dead forever in the Spawn universe. I think they were looking for a reason to keep her dead so the Neil Gaiman lawsuit would go away. Gaiman eventually sold the rights for the character to Marvel and they promptly ruined her by making her Thor and Loki's sister, removing all the sass, charisma, and personality from her character, and turning her into a dyke. Marvel strikes again. Oh well... At least we got a decent Marvel Legends figure out of it. I've long since given up hope for an updated figure of her classic Spawn design, something like pic related in toy form. Hell, I'd even settle for statueshit at this point.
