I was looking through some vintage toy stuff on youtube when I remembered "captain simian". So I looked into the line a came to find that it was a mattel property. But not only that, they included a character in the line who is effectively Gygor. Look at this goliath, he's apparently 10 inches, so he could arguably scale in with origins. Crazy to think such a perfect gygor base not only exists but was also produced by mattel. Likewise, it's been really interesting to see just how much 90's toys borrowed from motu. Skeleton Warriors, Small Soldiers, and Captain Simian are just a few I can name.
