That was Decepticons too, in G1 it was rule by power. Its their philosophy. Its why Megatron doesn’t kill Starscream for failing to usurp him, the weak are pawns, the strong deserve to rule. He only kills Starscream once he is no longer the leader.
Predacons are that, but as terrorists being lead by old Decepticons, which has been hijacked by a madman who’s ambition abandons the rule by power doctrine when not useful to him while using the old Decepticon symbols to enhance his feelings of rightousness.
Like having Starscream’s head, or feeling nothing when he killed the guy he renamed and physically reshaped himself after and consuming his soul just for more power.
Its also why Waspinator left. Predacon isn’t an ideology so much as just a bunch of nutcases ignoring the rules.
