Anyway, Modelsvits new release got me somewhat inspired, but while the mere existence of a Mriya in 1/72 makes the world a better place, it's a bit much for me. As is a Buff or a Bone. But I'm a sucker for size comparisons, and if we dial up the scale, a lot, we get some tiny little behemoths (or maybe not quite that tiny even in 1/700 for the Antonov) for a quick and maybe not quite so serious build. Also I get some space stuff in with the Buran.
For some bloody reason Pit-Road (responsible for all the models here) made a functional opening nose. Not s shred of detail inside though, and the joint ain't all that pretty when closed so I'll just glue it up and grab some filler. The Buran will get a light nose job as well while I'm at it.
