My brother was over with his family recently and I got to show them my budding 1/18 Joe collection. My little nieces really liked seeing the toys, but asked if I had more girl characters because the only ones I had out are Lady Jaye and Scarlett. In storage I have movie Baroness, movie Scarlett and Helix, although it did get me thinking about getting more female characters. I'm gonna end up paying more than I want for Retro Collection Baroness but I like her looks better than 25A.
More importantly though, that night I ordered the parts I need for a custom Cover Girl figure. The body will be from Marauder Inc, and the head will be from Marvel Infinite Shanna. I'm also gonna splice Shanna's boots onto the Marauder legs because I think they look a lot more like something Cover Girl would wear, and it means two less accessory peg holes I have to do something about.
The arm surgery went well for Duke so I think it should work fine for the legs on Cover Girl, although unlike the arms I should have enough clearance to pin them. Since the legs have to hold up the figure I think it'll be worth the extra steps. I'm gonna use the arms and jacket from Indiana Jones. I may or may not end up swapping the hands with the marauder ones. As with Duke one of my goals is to do as little repainting as I can. I think this'll be a good figure.
