I'm looking for something like a modeling stand, that has at least one joint, but it needs to be able to hold at least half a pound at a 90 degree angle without sagging. I shoot a lot of forced-perspective images where the supports are hidden by the "floating" object but I need something with an arm at least 18" long that can support that weight. I haven't completely worked out how I'm going to anchor it into the backdrop, but I have some ideas.
I can draw a shitty diagram if that helps make more sense.
