Screenrant is keen to note however that this rumor is sourced from a user of the forums over at Blu-Ray.com and has yet to be confirmed by either Disney or Fox. The user named HumanMedia also claims that production assets from the movies have recently been auctioned off. Conversely, React365 claims, yet citing no source, that in addition to Alien: Awakening's cancellation Disney and Fox are developing a reboot of the franchise. I know is just a rumor but I believe it might happen with the franchise.
Another rumor say Disney wants to make the Blomkamp's Aliens sequel. I feel like this is a wrong move but nothing has been confirmed.
I like the Ridley's precuels and I feel like the third movie could redeen Alien Covenant, but whatever is the Disney's desition I just want at least a "okay" movie and cool new designs for figures.
