Saw many saying they could never afford a bjd, but have like dozens of MH incl. play sets and sometimes duplicates of the very same doll to keep one boxed (I was the same). Just scrolled through my Insta feed and saw pic attached. Even if you take an average of 10$, which is very generous, you still could have bought a couple nice 1/3 dolls with that. I purged mine because I realized I'd rather have a few dolls I really want then shelves and shelves full with dolls I often got just because they were easy to get and a quick fix due to their price. No regrets so far.
