I've noticed that some vintage 80s, and 90s toys develop a stickiness from the breakdown of the plastics. Some dolls, and toys also develop odd looking spots within the plastic. The spots are not mold, and most people online have a hard time figuring out what causes these odd spots within the plastic.
>>6553861>I try to avoid buying any doll with any fake leather unless it is cheapI've sadly known about the break down of fake leather clothing since around the late 90s. That's when all of my plush toys, and doll outfits which had fake leather clothing started to crack, and peal off like the E.T. doll you posted. I bought the Designer Ariel/Ursula set a few years back, and i worry about Ursula since they made her body out of fake leather.
