I've always hated super heroes, transformers means nothing to me and the new star wars toys are as boring as the movies.
That said, there ARE several modern lines that are just doing their own thing. Final Faction, Goojitsu, etc as previously mentioned. There's hope for originality in the industry under all the sturation - we just gotta look.
