I'll never fully understand what its like to be a minority as I'm a mixed race, primarily white Australian from an average family and Filipino who, while coming from a third world country they managed to get their kids abroad and doing other better things, my mother included, and even then my mother tells me the natives before the Spanish taken over are only doing slightly better than the aboriginals but then again she thought it snowed in regional areas of Australian.
So, yeah, that's why I assumed it may apply to other minorities, specifically ones that had settlers from another land who enslaved the original populous and or brought slave labor (I apparently have Apache blood from my pino side, go figure)
