>>10810850Yeah, just asking, because Guts' engineering is pretty amazing otherwise. He has the fabled Naruto ankles which not many other lines have, for example.
>Shoulders as well, the range of motion ? (see pic rel)
>sculptDone to facilitate the aforementioned range. Also easy to hide, but I concede that different people have different priorities with regard to their action figures. It's definitely on the more Amazing Yamaguchi-side, and I like AYs (most of the time) so I guess that is part of why I don't regard it as such an issue.
>I will say in toy design sometimes certain parts should be adjusted to make for a better toy, in this case perhaps slightly bigger feet so he can balance better.I will begrudgingly agree with that. His feet (size and "flatness" both) might be more accurate that way, but they really could've made it better in a toy/aesthetic sense.
>The elbows are also way overengineered, a simple double joint, or even a deep single joint if that's what they wanted to do, would have been better than whatever weird contraption they came up with. True, true. But I struggle to mention the elbows because we all knew how they were gonna look. They weren't exactly a surprise. Back when he went up for PO, I basically said "not a fan of the elbows, but it isn't enough to be a dealbreaker." But yeah, I think the elbows are a bit unsightly as well. Just something I made peace with even before I ordered him, so doesn't spring to mind as much as post-release quirks like the wrists being unable to support the weight of his weapon, which I'd say is the worst, very worst issue. Followed by the back satchel breaking off so easily.
